Areg AI is expanding into Uzbekistan, bringing its full-stack, AI-powered operations and maintenance platform to one of the fastest-growing solar markets in Central Asia. First deployments in the country have been finalized, with the platform now being rolled out to support solar operators on the ground.

Why Uzbekistan, Why Now

Uzbekistan is in the middle of one of the most ambitious renewable energy buildouts in its region. According to amendments to the country’s renewable energy legislation, approved by the Uzbek Senate in 2024, Uzbekistan has set a target of 27 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030, with renewables expected to account for 40% of all electricity generation.

The pace of buildout is already visible. According to Enerdata, Uzbekistan’s total generating capacity reached 25.8 GW by the end of 2025, with renewables already accounting for 8 GW — or 31% of installed capacity. Another 2.8 GW of solar alone is planned for commissioning by the end of 2026, as part of a broader 6.7 GW capacity expansion.

That rate of capacity addition creates a direct need for intelligent O&M infrastructure. As gigawatts come online rapidly, operators face the challenge of maintaining performance across a growing fleet of assets — often with limited local O&M expertise and tools that were not designed for this scale of growth.

What Areg AI Brings

Areg AI’s platform covers the full operations loop — from real-time monitoring and AI-driven anomaly detection through automated work order generation and dispatch, to field execution via drone inspections and ground robotics. Rather than stopping at dashboards and alerts, the system closes the gap between detecting a problem and physically resolving it on site.

For Uzbekistan’s expanding solar fleet, this means operators can scale maintenance coverage without proportionally scaling headcount — a critical advantage in a market where installed capacity is growing faster than the local O&M workforce.

The Uzbekistan deployment marks a key step in Areg AI's international expansion beyond its operational base in Armenia. Further details on scope and project specifics will be shared in the coming weeks.
